سياسة التحكيم:

• مجلة كلية الآداب جامعة بورسعيد مجلة ربع سنوية مُحكَّمة مفتوحة الوصول. تخضع الأبحاث المُقدَّمة للنشر في المجلة لعملية مراجعة النظراء المزدوجة المجهولة حيث لا يمكن للمُحكِّمين معرفة هوية المؤلفين، ولا يمكن للمؤلفين اكتشاف هوية المُحكِّمين أثناء عملية التحكيم.

• تقوم إدارة المجلة بالتعامل مع أسماء المُحكِّمين وتقاريرهم، وأسماء المؤلفين وبياناتهم بسرية تامة.

مراحل عملية التحكيم:

تهدف عملية مراجعة المحكَّمين للبحوث إلى تقييم أصالة وجودة المادة العلمية، واقتراح توصيات من أجل تحسينها. وتُعدّ هذه العملية ضروريةً لفحص محتويات البحوث، وضمان نشر البحوث ذات المستوى العلمي الرفيع. ويتم التحكيم وفق مراحل متتابعة كما يلي:

• تقوم إدارة المجلة بتحدد اثنين من المحكمين المتخصصين في مجال البحث.
•  يُرسل ملف البحث إلى المحكمين مع الالتزام بتطبيق سياسة التحكيم السري (المعمي) والتأكد من أن ملف البحث المرسل لهم لا توجد بداخله أي بيانات تدل على المؤلف. كما يرفق للمحكمين مع ملف البحث استمارة التحكيم الخاصة بالمجلة.
• يقوم المحكّمون بتفحُّص البحث، وتقديم التقرير النهائي إلى رئيس التحرير مع التوصية المقترحة. يمكن التوصية بنشر البحث في وضعه الحالي، أو التوصية بإجراء تعديلات جوهرية أو طفيفة عليه؛ بناء على نوع المشكلات الموجودة فيه، مع الإشارة إلى جميع المواضع التي يجب إعادة النظر فيها. وإذا تمّ العثور على مشكلات جوهرية، يمكن عندئذ التوصية برفض نشر البحث.  
• يقوم رئيس التحرير بالاطلاع على تقارير التحكيم، وفي حال وجود تباين في آراء المُحكِّمين، يحال البحث إلى محكم ثالث للترجيح قبل إصدار الحكم النهائي حول البحث.
• يُخطر المؤلف بالتعديلات والتوصيات المطلوبة ويلتزم بإجرائها في المدة المحددة لذلك. 
• يعاد البحث إلى المحكمين عندما تكون التوصيات جوهرية؛ لمعرفة مدى التزام المؤلف بإجراء التعديلات، وتتولى إدارة المجلة المراجعة عندما تكون التوصية بإجراء تعديلات طفيفة.
• يتم قبول نشر البحث بالمجلة عندما يتم التحقق من إجراء التعديلات، أو عند وصول تقارير المحکمين التي تفيد قبول البحث للنشر بعد إجراء التعديلات المطلوبة. وعندئذ يُمنح المؤلف خطاب قبول بالنشر.  

Peer Review Policy:

• Journal of the Faculty of Arts Port Said University is a quarterly peer-reviewed open-access journal. Articles submitted for publication in the journal undergo a double-blind peer-review process, in which reviewers cannot know the identities of authors and authors cannot find out the identities of reviewers during the review process.
• The journal administration deals with the names of reviewers and their reports, as well as the names of authors and their data, in strict confidentiality.

Stages of Peer Review Process:

The process of peer review of articles aims to assess the originality and quality of the scientific material, and to propose recommendations for its improvement. This process is necessary to examine the contents of articles, and to ensure the publication of research of a high scientific level. The review takes place in successive stages as follows:

• The journal administration chooses two reviewers specialized in the field of research.
• The article file is sent to the reviewers with a commitment to applying the confidential (blind) peer review policy and making sure that the file sent to them does not contain any data indicating the author. The review form of the journal is also attached to the reviewers with the article file.
• The reviewers examine the article, and submit the final report to the editor-in-chief with the proposed recommendation. It is possible to recommend that the article be published in its current state, or to recommend substantial or minor amendments to it based on the type of problems found in it, indicating all the points that need to be reconsidered. If substantial problems are found, then it may be recommended to refuse publishing the article.
• The editor-in-chief looks at the review reports, and in the event of a discrepancy in the opinions of the reviewers, the research is referred to a third reviewer for preference before reaching the final decision on the article.
• The author is notified of the required amendments and recommendations, and is committed to making them within the specified period.
• The article is returned to the reviewers when the recommendations are substantial to find out the extent of the author's commitment to making the amendments. When the recommendation is to make minor amendments, the journal administration undertakes the review.
• The article is accepted to be published in the journal when the amendments are verified, or upon the arrival of the reviewers’ reports stating that the article has been accepted for publication after making the required amendments. Then the author is granted a letter of acceptance for publication.
